一、Technical properties

1.Double protection and double effect: SY-K expansion fiber anti-cracking waterproofing agent can improve the crack resistance of concrete in physical and chemical aspects, and provide double protection for concrete. Because a large number of synthetic fibers produce fine reinforcement and mesh support, which inhibit the cracking process of the concrete; on the other hand, the expansion component reacts with the cement hydration product to produce moderate expansion, which prevents the concrete from shrinking and cracking;

2.Staged anti-cracking, stratified anti-cracking: micro-expansion agent mainly has effects during concrete hardening process, while polypropylene fibers mainly affect at concrete plastic stage. SY-K expansion fiber anti-cracking waterproofing agent combines the two to reflect the scientific concept of staged anti-cracking and stratified anti-cracking” for the purpose of anti-cracking throughout the whole process. They can contribute most effective effects on concrete from different levels and in different ways at different time period;

3.Triple waterproof mechanism: The concrete structure is self-waterproof, that is, relying on the concrete body to achieve waterproofing of the building. It has been proved to be the most fundamental waterproof technology for the building. At present, the widely adopted structural waterproofing measures include compensation shrinkage, enhanced compactness and anti-cracking waterproofing. SY-K, which is a synthetic of multifunctional materials, has the above three waterproof mechanisms, thereby it has higher impermeability and waterproofing ability than a single component;

4.Mix the SY-K agent in concrete, which is then evenly distributed due to enormous quantity of fibers in concrete to form a uniform chaotic support system inside the concrete, generating an effective secondary reinforcement, which is conducive to reduce plastic shrinkage and freeze-thaw stress in concrete. The contracted energy is dispersed to tens of millions of monofilaments with high tensile strength and relatively low elastic modulus per cubic meter, thereby effectively enhancing the toughness of the concrete and suppressing the occurrence and development of fine cracks. At the same time, the numerous monofilaments can effectively hinder the segregation of aggregates, ensuring the early uniform bleeding of concrete, thus inhibiting the formation of sedimentation cracks. Practices have proved that concrete mixed with the product has increased its crack resistance by 75% compared with ordinary concrete;

5.The product can greatly improve the impermeability and waterproof performance of concrete: the enormous fine fibers can effectively suppress the occurrence and development of early shrinkage cracks and segregation cracks of concrete, substantially reduce the shrinkage cracks of concrete, and especially inhibit the occurrence of interconnected fractures. A plenty of fibers uniformly distributed in concrete adhere to each other to "support" the aggregates, which effectively reduces the surface bleeding and segregation of aggregates in concrete, reducing the number of pores with size of 50-100 nm and >100 nm in concrete, and improving the impermeability. Compared with ordinary concrete, the impermeability is enhanced by 60%~75%;

6.Enhance impact resistance and seismic resistance: After the concrete mixed with the product is solidified, the high-strength fibers bonding cement adhere together to form a dense and disorderly distributed mesh reinforcement system, which enhances the fixation force to the aggregate, thereby improving the wear resistance and preventing the occurrence and development of micro-cracks, increasing the toughness of concrete/mortar, enhancing the ultimate elongation. The unique surface treatment of the product allows the tight adhesion between fibers and cement base, which greatly keeps the overall strength of concrete. When the concrete is impacted, the fibers will absorb the most of the energy to effectively reduce the concentrated stress, hindering the rapid expansion of cracks in concrete, and enhancing the impact resistance and seismic resistance of the concrete/mortar;

7.Enhance frost resistance of concrete: Add the product in concrete can alleviate inner stress of concrete due to temperature changes, suppress the occurrence and expansion of micro-cracks; at the same time, the reinforcement of impermeability of concrete is also conducive to improve the frost resistance of concrete. The product can be used to greatly improve the frost resistance of concrete, thereby it is widely applied in cold area and various large-volume concrete temperature difference cracks control projects.  

二、Technical performance

1.Use amount: the product accounts for 6%~10% of total mass of cementitious materials in concrete;

2.Final setting time: initial setting ≥45min, final setting <10h;

3.Fiber properties: Elastic modulus ≥3000Mpa, tensile strength ≥270Mpa;

4.Low alkali content can inhibit alkali aggregate reaction of concrete;

5.Compressive strength is not less than the reference concrete;

6.Significantly improve impermeability and frost resistance;

7.The wear resistance is significantly improved compared to the reference concrete;

8.Can effectively improve impact-resistance, seismic capacity, corrosion resistance of concrete, and improve the fire resistance of concrete, enhance the anti-detonating quality of concrete;

9.The product is chlorine-free, non-toxic, harmless, has no corrosion to steel bars, and has no pollution to the environment;

10.By using the product can produce high-performance concrete with high strength, crack resistance, high elastic modulus, high impermeability, high wear resistance, high impact resistance and high durability.

三、Application scope

The product is used to prepare compensation contraction concrete, rigid structure self-waterproofing concrete, super long reinforced concrete structure seamless design and construction, mass concrete and other special engineering with anti-cracking and anti-seepage technical requirements; the product is widely applied in waterproof engineering, highway roads, tunnels, ports, water plants, power plants, reservoirs, dams, and military projects with special anti-seepage and anti-explosion requirements.

四、Precautions

1. Product inspection standard：GB23439-2009或WSY001-2010；

2.Due to fibers in the product, it can increase the viscosity of concrete mixture, and reduce slump slightly;

3.Each project requires different slump, thereby the slump has to be adjusted through experiment before the product is used in the project. If the slump cannot meet the construction requirements, it cannot be increased by adding water, but appropriate amount of plastic agent and water reducing agent can be used to increase slump to meet the construction requirements;

4.The mixing time is 60s longer than ordinary concrete to ensure the fibers can be mixed evenly in concrete.

五、Packaging and storage

1.The product is packed in laminating plastic bags or in bulk package;

2.The product shall be stored in a dry place. Pay attention during the loading and unloading to prevent the inner bag from damaged and damp. The stack should not exceed 10 bags;

3.Unused product shall be sealed in time to avoid moisture deterioration;

4.In the sealed state, the warranty period of the product is 6 months. Product out of valid period has to be tested before use.
